The mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper profile and is topped with a bound rosewood fretboard that is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and adorned with acrylic dot position marker inlays. The 60s Kalamazoo headstock is outfitted with Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and features the Epiphone logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl. The electronics are also different than what you'll find on most Les Paul Specials. Instead of the usual P-90 single coil pickups, the Les Paul Special Double Cut Figured is equipped with a pair of Epiphone's acclaimed ProBucker™ humbucking pickups, with a ProBucker 2 in the neck position and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge position for blistering solos. Both pickups are wired to individual volume and tone controls, along with a three-way toggle switch for excellent tonal control and versatility.
